Critical Notice: The DM Series features a gradual-tack adhesive system. The graphic must be applied correctly in a single attempt once the release paper is removed. Secondary re-application will severely reduce final bond strength. Allow 72 hours for full adhesive cure.
Assemble the following tools prior to starting installation:
Spray bottle (filled with clean water + a few drops of dish detergent)
Squeegee (rubber or felt-edge)
Clean lint-free microfiber towels
Precision utility knife
Hairdryer or heat gun (low heat setting)
Application Temperature: Ensure ambient and surface temperatures are between 10°C and 38°C (Optimal: 18°C to 26°C, 10%–60% RH).
Weather Conditions: Avoid applying in extreme cold (<10°C), direct scorching sunlight, rain, snow, or dusty/windy conditions.
Substrate Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the mounting surface to eliminate oil, wax, grime, and dust. Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying water spray, as residual moisture during tacking affects initial adhesion.
Wet Lubrication Spray: Lightly mist the substrate with the diluted soapy water solution. This prevents immediate adhesive tack and allows easy repositioning.
Single-Pass Positioning: Peel off the release paper, align the reflective graphic with the target area, and lay it flat. Press down firmly once aligned.
Squeegee Water & Air Displacement: Using a squeegee with firm, uniform strokes, sweep outward from the center to the edges to push out all liquid and trapped air bubbles.
Heat Conformance & Edge Trimming: Warm edges gently with a hairdryer on low heat to soften the PET/PVC material, press down firmly, and trim excess film using a utility knife.
72-Hour Curing Period: Leave the graphic undisturbed for 72 hours to allow the gradual-tack adhesive layer to fully cure. Do not wash the vehicle, expose it to rain, touch the graphic, or park in extreme sunlight for 72 hours.
