The 3M™ Scotchlite™ 680 series is a premium, 7 mil (~0.18mm) engineering-grade reflective vinyl film specifically engineered for commercial transport fleets, public transit networks, and emergency service vehicles requiring elite nighttime visibility and brand enhancement. Formulated with 3M’s advanced enclosed lens technology, this retroreflective material acts as a 24/7 passive safety armor by capturing headlight beams and redirecting intense light back to oncoming drivers, drastically reducing rear-end collisions. Far beyond a standard promotional vinyl, it is optimized for high-precision custom digital printing, screen printing, and automated die-cutting—transforming corporate logos, directional symbols, and chevron striping into crisp, uniform visual signs that look identical day and night. Processed in MACTAPE’s pristine cleanroom facilities with a low MOQ of 1 PC, this genuine, traceable 3M material ensures your commercial fleet remains compliant with global transit visibility laws while maximizing your mobile brand identity.
Engineering-Grade Retroreflectivity: Delivers powerful nighttime light return even when hit at severe, oblique angles or exposed to damp, rain-slicked highway conditions, ensuring critical lateral and rear visibility.
Aggressive Substrate Adaptability: Formulated with a specialized solvent-based pressure-sensitive adhesive that bonds securely to flat panels, simple curves, and complex corrugated metal siding lined with heavy rivets.
7-to-9 Year Outdoor Longevity: Highly stable chemistry provides long-term resistance against intense UV exposure, road chemical degradation, and high-pressure industrial washing without edge flagging or fading.
Broad Temperature Adaptability: Formulated to perform under extreme weather climates, maintaining perfect physical cohesion from sub-zero drops of -34°C up to continuous heat limits of 93°C.
Advanced "Invisible" Color Black Esthetics: The specialized black variant blends invisibly into dark trim panels or windows during daylight hours but flashes a brilliant, striking white light when hit by vehicle headlights at night.
Comply™ & Controltac™ Application Technology: Featured on "CR" configurations, micro-replicated air release channels completely eliminate bubble trapping while allowing the film to float and slide across panels for flawless layout alignment before final pressing.
Seamless Commercial Compliance: Fully meets DOT (U.S. Department of Transportation) regulations and commercial vehicle nighttime safety visibility criteria, smoothing your road to annual inspections.

Characteristics: Features an aggressive permanent backing adhesive that yields maximum ultimate shear strength and an extensive 7-to-9-year exterior runtime.
Primary Applications: Permanent industrial machinery striping, long-term asset logos, semi-trailer markings, and highway transit facilities.
Characteristics: Upgraded with 3M™ Comply™ microscopic air vents for rapid, bubble-free dry lamination. Cleanly removable with heat or specialized chemicals without leaving adhesive residue.
Primary Applications: Leased corporate fleets, short-term promotional trailer wraps, fast-turnaround commercial transit graphics, and high-efficiency automated workflows.
Surface Micro-Cleaning: Substrates must be completely clean, dry, and free of wax, grease, or silicones. Scrub the target panel thoroughly with a 50:50 mixture of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and clean water, and allow it to dry completely. Ensure weathered paint surfaces are structurally sound before lamination.
Climate Control: Execute installation inside a sheltered environment between 10°C and 32°C. The ideal application point is 21°C. Cold environments stiffen the vinyl and drop initial tack, while excessive heat over-stretches the graphic layers.
Wet Lamination Sequence (Recommended for Standard 680):
Positioning: Lightly mist the pre-cleaned panel area with a diluted soap-and-water solution.
Lamination: Peel away the liner and slide the wet reflective film into precise geometric alignment.
Squeegee Out: Use a specialized firm squeegee to stroke firmly from the center outward to force out all moisture and micro-bubbles.
Heat-Setting Edges: Use a professional heat gun set to 200°C–300°C to gently warm complex corners, curves, or rivets, activating the pressure-sensitive adhesive to lock down edges.
Post-Assembly Curing: Allow the newly wrapped asset to rest undisturbed in a climate-controlled room for 24 hours to reach peak adhesion strength. Avoid high-pressure water washing, road debris exposure, or chemical solvent contact during this window.
