Heavy vehicle graphics are printed on industrial-grade cast vinyl using HP Latex or UV technology. A heavy-duty overlaminate is applied to protect against abrasion and chemicals. Graphics are then cut to size and supplied with installation guidance suitable for industrial equipment surfaces.
Heavy-duty cleaner, degreaser, wire brush for rust scale, squeegee, heat gun, utility knife, roller for edges.
Heavy surface prep. Remove rust scale, old decals, grease and dirt. Degrease with industrial cleaner.
Repair surface defects. Fill deep pits or rust holes and sand smooth if necessary.
Position and align. Use measuring tape and masking tape to ensure straight placement on large panels.
Apply. Use dry application on flat trailer sides; wet application may be used for smaller curved areas.
Roll edges. Use a hand roller on all edges and around rivets to ensure maximum adhesion.
Heat and seal. Apply heat to edges and seams, then press firmly to activate adhesive.
Cure. Allow 72 hours before heavy washing or exposure to extreme conditions.
Surface preparation is critical; oily or rusty metal will cause premature failure.
Use edge sealant or primer on rough or porous surfaces for maximum durability.
Install in controlled conditions when possible; avoid rain, dust and extreme cold.
