The client came to MACTAPE with a fleet of commercial logistics vehicles and a strict set of brand requirements:
Precise VI Color Replication: The client’s corporate identity relies on a highly specialized, vibrant custom pink primary color palette. Replicating this exact tone on retroreflective backing material without color distortion or dimming is a notorious industry challenge.
All-Weather Outdoor Reliability: The vehicles operate continuously in harsh environments, facing prolonged UV exposure, intense seasonal temperature shifts, road salt, and frequent high-pressure industrial washings. The material needed to guarantee a long service life without cracking, edge lifting (flagging), or fading.

Advanced UV Digital Printing: Utilizing 3M-compatible specialized inks and our automated UV printing lines, we performed rigorous color profiling to flawlessly reproduce the client’s custom pink vision. The print remains bright and uniform under both daytime sunlight and nighttime headlight illumination.
0.2mm Precision Die-Cutting: Using high-precision stripping and die-cutting machinery, we precisely carved out the intricate corporate logos and lettering to an accuracy of 0.2mm.
Pre-Applied Transfer Paper Protection: The 680 series features a protective transfer paper layer on the surface. MACTAPE’s processing line maintained this layer throughout the printing and die-cutting stages, protecting the sensitive micro-glass beads from physical abrasion during processing and shipping.
During installation, the inherent flexibility and conformability of the 3M™ 680 film allowed it to stretch smoothly over the vehicle’s complex curves, rivets, and corrugated panels without cracking or lifting. Once applied and the transfer paper was peeled away, the result was a seamless, paint-like finish.
